Who’s behind Tech-Nes?

Ollie Tregelles started the business out of a necessity to be able to manage his own time and focus on balancing his work and home life, with two young children and another one due this year (2021), he really wanted to find a job that he enjoyed and could help people with.

He has a varied background in everything from building, carpentry and joinery, event management, hospitality and of course, IT support services, giving him a broad skill set to draw upon on his new path in setting up and running his own business.

In nearly all of his previous roles, he has had his hand in the IT infrastructure at each respective business, in some cases managing the entire infrastructure alongside his main role.

The Tech-Nes mission.

Ollie understands the importance of IT in all areas, from home life to business. A smooth running IT system is imperative in today’s world of digital life.

More and more we are being pushed online to do tasks we used to do in person or in the high street, all in the name of streamlining, which on the whole is great and can really help to make the world more efficient and sometimes greener too. That being said, the pace at which technology progresses means that people can easily be left behind and it is that problem that Ollie wanted to help solve for his community.

His passion for equality and fairness means he wants everyone to have the same access to the web and technology that can help us, whether you are a home user or a business.
Sometimes that means basic training, sometimes that means improving internet connections, or expanding your WiFi network or something else entirely.
Whatever the problem may be Ollie is eager to help.

Trust

One thing that Ollie believes to be most important is trust and without it you have nothing. This is why he has worked so hard to build up an excellent reputation in his local area.
IT is often an area people feel nervous and vulnerable in and rightly so, because there are a lot of people out there who want to take advantage of people’s lack of knowledge and abuse their trust for personal gain.

At Tech-Nes we understand that not everyone knows about IT and pride ourselves on trying not to use complicated, technical language or jargon and to explain things in terms people can understand. If a more technical explanation is required, we have the knowledge to deliver, but in most cases people appreciate easy to understand explanations.
